MY China

Completed with CCS Architecture. Celebrity Chef Martin Yan opened M.Y. China at the Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, his second in a new series of fine dining establishments. His modern interpretation of traditional, high-end Chinese cuisine is a paired with ancient culture and authentic ingredients.

The new restaurant at Graton Casino covers an expansive 8,000 square feet over two floors, a composition of walnut, slate, blackened and stainless steel. Guests enter from the casino floor past the inviting bar and beneath an undulating red ceiling element comprised of vertically oriented red acoustical fabric panels. With 175 seats, the first floor is comprised of several areas for eating and drinking; the bar, “temple room”, main dining room and bar seating along the full exhibition kitchen, where “Noodle Dancers” are the star of the show, preparing fresh noodles and wok dishes for all to see.

A walnut clad stair adorned with custom tattoo art pieces leads to the dining mezzanine, a sumptuous dining space for 50 overlooking the dining room below. The surrounding space can be divided into smaller areas for private parties and features a custom dragon graffiti-inspired mural by tattoo artist Khalil Rintye of Ed Hardy Tattoo City in San Francisco.

Other design elements include a glowing entry of laser cut characters in blackened steel, locally fabricated, bronze plated prayer wheels, custom designed and fabricated tattoo artwork lining the stairs, walnut walls and shelves, a metal-crete bar top and metal filigree wall elements.
